Praise the cosmetic gods! The new make-up palette allows you to
forget the blahs and have some fun -- with face tattoos
On this page
Nicolet’s wearing a natural hair wig with subtle colour overtones. Make-up
artist Prabir Kr De applied frosted green eye shadow on the upper lids and the
lower lids (close to the lashline) to highlight her eyes. For some shimmer, he
dusted a skin toned shadow over the green. He lined the lids with a black liner
and toned down the sharpness with some black shadow, extending up to the inner
and outer corners of the eyes. (The rest of the make-up is the same as in the
ponytailed look.)
Does summer have you in the mood for a new look?
No Oscar de la Rentas or Manolos for this do-over; just a few brush strokes,
courtesy make-up artist Prabir Kr De. He’s got ideas to rescue you from
the clichéd ‘strong eyes and played down lips’ — just
tie your hair into a ponytail and get ready to refresh your look with a new
make-up accessory — self-drawn facial tattoos! You can draw just about
anything — a half-moon, a big flower going upto your jawline, a butterfly,
whatever...
To set the base — a combination of Kryolan and MAC
in a skin tone was used on young Nicolet, a recent Bollywood find, courtesy the
director duo, Abbas-Mastan. Prabir worked with a dab of MAC studio fixer over
the base for a more translucent and luminous effect. For Nicolet’s
eyebrows, it was a mix of brown and black eye shadow to reshape her arch. Some
pink and peach eye shadow covered the upper eyelids, with a dusting of a flesh
toned shadow to further highlight them. He blended them well for a smooth finish
and then outlined her eyes with a black Lancôme liner. Some MAC black and
more of pink was worked on the upper lashline, and blended well, going right
upto the outer corners. A Kryolan black kohl lined the insides of the eyes, and
a few lashings of transparent mascara gave her lashes an elongated
look.

Prabir brushed the apples of Nicolet’s cheeks with a pink,
going up to the temples. Her lips were lined with a Chambor pink lip liner and
filled in with a Clinique pink. A dab of a frosty pink gloss made her lips look
perky. For the look on this page, Nicolet’s hair was combed straight and
tied into a ponytail, and her fringe swept to the side to cover her broad
forehead. Prabir smoothed on some L’Oréal shine serum to pep up the
style. To add some kudos and cool, he drew out a flower with a Kryolan aqua
black, and filled in with a green for the leaves and red for the flower, and
added glitter for some razzle dazzle.
