THE SUNNY SIDE
How well you are able to handle setbacks defines who you
are. How long does it take you to bounce back? Do you blame others or freak
circumstances for your present situation?
There are two types of people in
the world optimists and pessimists.
Optimists treat adversity as a
challenge. They see it as a temporary situation. An optimist will often make a
plan for recovery, and take action. Pessimists are at the opposite end of the
spectrum. They see a problem, and the problem affects every aspect of their
life. There is usually someone to blame for this.
Be an optimist.
Difficult as it may seem, tread on the sunny side. Examine the situation and be
honest with yourselves. Discover opportunity in the challenge.
Sometimes the opportunity is merely the experience gained from
getting through it. Don’t dwell on your career setbacks so much that they
become your raison d’etre. Move into action to resolve the problem
immediately. Make a plan and get started. Believe in yourself and your abilities
to overcome the problem.

such thing as permanent rough weather; all that matters is how effectively both
