Be a scene-stealer. Adopt this new chic look, says Jeena Mitra-Banik

This look is meant for the sassy and natty woman, who has enough spunk and no inhibition to be a trendsetter in the world of fashion. So read on my fashion friends!

Sharon as a model is gifted with a face and body that can bend, sparkle and be anything from a Brazilian babe to an Indian ‘kudi’ in minutes. For his rather offbeat experiment Kolkata’s make-up guru, Prabir insisted we use her as his muse.

Prabir begins by cleaning Sharon’s skin with a Herome peel-off mask. According to him, only a clean skin can carry good make-up. Next, he applies a whole dose of Kryolan Dermalight skin tone base on her face, neck and shoulder. He tops it with Make-up Forever translucent powder and rubs ice on the made-up area to set-in the base make-up and wipes off excess moisture with a dry tissue. He then proceeds to shape and arch her eyebrows with a Vega eyebrow applicator brush and some dark brown Kryolan eyeshadow.

For her eyes, he uses a mix of mauve, pink and silver Kryolan eyeshadow on the upper eyelids and blends them well together. On the lower lids, he uses nothing besides a Kryolan blue kohl pencil, which is smudged with a Body Shop smudge brush. For a funky look, he uses huge-sized false lashes on one of her eyes and adds mascara to them and applies mascara to the other eyelash as well.

As a highlight, he applies some silver eyeshadow to go with the whole look of the face. To add more zing to his style, he uses skin-friendly glue on one of her eyebrows and sticks bright silver crystals on to it, so that it takes the shape of her eyebrows. As an overall result, it looks funky and in your face. For cheeks he uses some MAC light pink blush-on in strokes moving from cheeks to the temple region. On her lips he uses a MAC light pink lipstick and tops it with a MAC gloss for a fruity effect.

To match Sharon’s hair to such an avant-garde make-up he gels her whole hair, takes strands and twists them and then rolls them up with heated hairstyle tongs. When after an hour he opens out these tongs, what you get to see is a new-look hairstyle, which is more international in appeal. As a last resort he dabs some MAC shimmer powder on to her face, neck and shoulder areas so that the skin shines radiantly whenever under lights.

And as for a comment on the whole look? Well, women see green and men — you can salivate!
