OTTICA Launches Lifestyle Optical Store

/photo.cms?msid=28664042 New Delhi, 13th November: OTTICA, announced the opening of a lifestyle Optical retail store - at TDI Westside Mall, Alankar Cinema Complex, Lajpat Nagar III. The event was graced by Mrs. Shivani Vazir, Mrs. Sumiko, Mr. David Ebrahim, Ms. Simer Duggal, Mr. Harsh Chopra (MD, Ray Ban Sun Optics), Mr. Fabio Luipi ( National Sales Manager, Ray Ban Sun Optics), Mr. J. P. Singh (MD- Bausch &Lomb) and Mr. Jatin Shah (MD-Safilo, India).
Dr. Hardeep Singh, CEO OTTICA, said, “We feel there is a need for a high quality optical retail chain in India. Ottica has top quality international store design and ambience with a unique concept of touch and feel enabling the consumer to try the product off the shelf”.
OTTICA will offer top of the line 12 -15 premium optical brands in the store. Brands like Harley Davidson, Bousch & Lomb, Calvin Klein, Prada, Kenzo, Gucci, Armani, B&L, J&J, Burberry’s and others.
India represents a potentially exciting market for organized retailing with growth rates expected to be 30% per annum over the next five years (source: Retail 2000-01, Economic Times). These stores will carry merchandise catering to the mass premium (Rs. 1000 - 2000) & premium (Rs 2000+) customers. The customer profile will be SEC A & B, living in metros & class A towns.
About OTTICA OTTICA is a newly established company seeking to become a major player in the optical retailing business. The first OTTICA concessionaire is already operational in Ludhiana, Punjab.
