Potato balls with a sweet filling.
Serves : Six
Time required : 25 minutes

Ingredients
For the covering:
6 boiled potatoes, mashed
3 tbsp cornflour
Rawa to roll
Oil for frying
For the filling:
50 g grated mawa
3 tbsp dry coconut, grated
2 tbsp sesame seeds
3 tbsp mixed dry fruit, coarsely powdered
2 tbsp raisins (kismis)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
rawa for coating
To serve:
Sweetened curd

Method To prepare the filling: Dry roast the mawa and coconut separately till light brown. Mix in the rest of ingredients for the filling. Keep aside.

To prepare the covering: Mix the mashed potatoes and cornflour and divide into medium-sized balls.

Flatten each ball, and place a teaspoonful of the filling in the centre. Gently work the mashed potato over it, to completely cover the filling. Roll in rawa and deep fry in hot oil till light golden. Serve hot with sweetened curd.
